Your moments belong to you

Privacy policy.

Last updated: 21 October 2026. This policy explains how PicWiz, developed by Dean Hipkiss, handles information in the iPhone app and on this promotional website.

The short version

Your selected photos are edited and rendered on your device. PicWiz does not upload them to the developer. The app does not require an account and does not include advertising or third-party analytics. Apple provides photo selection, iCloud synchronisation and in-app purchases as described below.

1. Your photos and finished designs

You choose photos using Apple’s system photo picker. PicWiz receives the images you select so it can create previews and finished designs. It does not ask to browse your entire photo library.

Photo editing and rendering take place on your device. PicWiz does not send selected photos or finished designs to developer-operated servers. If you select an image stored in iCloud Photos, Apple may download it to your device as part of the system photo-selection process.

When you save a design, PicWiz requests permission to add new images to your Photos library. It does not modify your original images. Saved images are managed by Photos and may sync or be backed up according to your Apple settings. When you later share them using another app, that service’s privacy practices apply.

2. Editor settings and iCloud

PicWiz stores editor preferences and its free-save count on your device. Preferences include choices such as layout, photo look, border, crop and export format. These stored settings are not an uploaded photo library.

When iCloud is available, PicWiz synchronises the number of free saves used through Apple’s iCloud key-value storage. This helps keep the free-save allowance consistent across your devices. PicWiz does not use this feature to sync selected photos. Apple handles the iCloud service in accordance with your Apple Account settings and Apple’s privacy policy.

3. PicWiz Pro and purchases

PicWiz Pro is an optional one-time purchase processed through Apple’s App Store. The app uses Apple’s StoreKit framework to check purchase entitlement, unlock unlimited saves and restore purchases. It receives purchase status and transaction information needed for those functions.

PicWiz does not receive your payment card details. Apple processes payment and manages your App Store purchase history under its own terms and privacy policy.

4. This website

This promotional website does not use analytics scripts, advertising trackers, cookies or contact forms. Its images and styles are served as local website assets, without third-party font or image embeds.

The provider hosting the website may process connection information such as your IP address, browser information, requested pages and request times to deliver and secure the site. The provider’s practices and retention depend on the hosting service used.

Links to the App Store, Apple and the developer website take you to external services with their own privacy policies. Email links open your chosen email application.

5. If you contact us

If you email apps@sixsixdigital.com, your email address and anything you include in the message are used to answer your request and provide support. Correspondence may be retained as needed to deal with your enquiry and maintain a support record. Your email provider and the recipient’s email provider process these messages as part of delivering email.

You do not need to send your photo library, payment details or other sensitive information to get help. If you choose to attach an image, only include content you are comfortable sharing.

6. Your choices and controls

  • Choose which images to make available through the system photo picker.
  • Manage PicWiz’s permission to add photos in iOS Settings.
  • Delete exported images using the Photos app. Removing PicWiz does not delete images already saved to Photos.
  • Manage iCloud and device backups through your Apple Account settings. Removing the app may not remove iCloud-synchronised data or Apple’s purchase records.
  • Contact us about personal information you provided directly in a support message, including requests to access or delete it.

Because PicWiz does not create a developer-hosted photo account, there is no such account or photo collection for the developer to delete. Apple controls the data retained by its own services.

7. Policy updates and contact

This policy may be updated when PicWiz or the website changes. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.
